Our Greek Brethren

Από τις αρχές του 2019 μέχρι σήμερα, παρά την αναστολή των εργασιών λόγω της  ανδημίας, έχει δημιουργηθεί στην Επαρχιακή μας Μεγάλη Στοά μια μικρή αλλά υναμική ομάδα νέων Αδελφών από την Ελλάδα, όλοι τους μέλη της Ηνωμένης Μεγάλης Στοάς της Αγγλίας. Έξι Έλληνες έγιναν δεκτοί στην Επαρχία μας και τρεις ακόμη υποψήφιοι πρόκειται να εισέλθουν κατά τις εργασίες του Φεβρουαρίου 2023.

Όλοι οι Έλληνες Αδελφοί μας είναι ενθουσιασμένοι αφενός για την τιμή που τους έγινε να λάβουν τον τίτλο του μέλους αυτού του ιστορικού και σεβαστού Τεκτονικού Τάγματος και αφετέρου εξαιτίας της υψηλούς ποιότητας των τελετών που έχουν συμμετάσχει μέχρι σήμερα. Αν και τα έξοδα μετακινήσεως από τους διάφορους τόπους διαμονής τους στην Ελλάδα προς την Αγγλία και της διαμονή τους δεν είναι ασήμαντα, ο ενθουσιασμός είναι αμείωτος και ήδη σχεδιάζουν το επόμενο ταξίδι τους τον Φεβρουάριο του 2023.

Όλα τα παρόντα ενεργά μέλη είναι πολύ δραστήριοι τέκτονες σε διάφορα τεκτονικά Τάγματα και κάποιοι από αυτούς κατέχουν υψηλά αξιώματα στον Αγγλικό και τον Ελληνικό Τεκτονισμό.

Κατά την καλοκαιρινή σεζόν που διανύουμε, οι περισσότεροι εξ αυτών απολαμβάνουν τις διακοπές τους με τις οικογένειές τους και τα αγαπημένους Αδελφούς και κάποιοι, λόγω συνθηκών, συνεχίζουν να εργάζονται σκληρά.

Όλοι τους στέλνουν τις θερμότερες ευχές τους στους Αδελφούς της Επαρχίας μας και τις οικογένειές τους και μας προσκαλούν στην όμορφη Ελλάδα στο άμεσο μέλλον για  να απολαύσουμε μαζί τις παραδόσεις της, τον ήλιο, τη θάλασσα και τις αφάνταστα νόστιμες τοπικές σπεσιαλιτέ.

From the beginning of 2019 until today, despite the suspension of meetings due to the  Pandemic, a small but dynamic group of new Brethren from Greece, all members of the United Grand Lodge of England, have been Advanced and Promoted into our Province. Six Greeks have been admitted into our Province and three more candidates are to join at the February 2023 meeting.

All our Greek Brethren are excited on the one hand for the honour of becoming members of this historic and venerable Masonic order, and on the other hand for the high quality of the ceremonies they have participated in to date. Although the costs of transportation from their various places of residence in Greece to England and their accommodation are high, the enthusiasm is undiminished and they are already planning their next trip in February 2023.

All the present members are very active Masons in various Masonic orders and some of them hold high offices in English and Greek Freemasonry.

In the summer season that we are spending, most of them are enjoying their holidays with their families and beloved Brethren and some, due to circumstances, continue to work hard.

All of them send their warmest wishes to the Brethren of our Province and their families and invite you to beautiful Greece in the near future to enjoy together its traditions, the sun, sea and the unimaginably delicious local specialties.
