On Wednesday 24th May a Deputation from Grand Lodge, comprising Brother Ewan Rutherford, Deputy Grand Master and Governor and Brother Alan Dickson, Grand Secretary travelled to the Bahamas for the Installation of Bro. Joseph Ricardo Curry as the new Provincial Grand Master of the Province of the Mid-Atlantic.

On Thursday the Deputation joined the Executive Committee of the Province of the Mid-Atlantic for a most convivial dinner at the Wild Thyme restaurant, East Bay St.

On the 26th, Bro Ewan Rutherford and Bro Alan Dickson had the opportunity for a tour of the centre of Nassau by members of the Province.  Later in the evening a very enjoyable cocktail reception was held where Bros Ewan and Alan met members of the Province.

On Saturday 27th May the Deputation attended the Regular Meeting of the District Grand Lodge of The Bahamas, followed by an excellent and lively Harmony.

On Sunday 28th , Bro Ewan Rutherford and Bro Alan Dickson attended the Church Service at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk in the morning. Later in the afternoon they joined Brother Joseph Curry and his wife Terez at their home for a very enjoyable and relaxing dinner.

On Monday 29th the Deputation met with visiting Provincial Grand Masters at the Masonic Centre after which they attended a "Jerk Out" at Lodge Fort Nassau.
 
The Installation meeting was held on Tuesday 30th May at the Masonic Centre.  The Deputation was formally welcomed into the Province.  The Deputy Grand Master and Governor, Bro Ewan Rutherford installed Bro Joseph Ricardo Curry as the new Provincial Grand Master of the Province of the Mid-Atlantic. The new PGM then appointed and installed his Officers for the year in a most excellent manner.
 
Following the meeting the Brethren gathered for a most enjoyable meal. Bro Ewan Rutherford gave a warm and engaging response to the Toast to the Deputy Grand Master and Governor.
 
On Wednesday, May 31 Bro Ewan Rutherford and Alan Dickson were taken on a visit to Eleuthera and Harbour Island hosted by Brother Sais Cooper, RWM of Lodge Eleutheran and other local Brethren before returning to Scotland on Thursday, June 1.
 
Both Bro Ewan Rutherford and Bro Alan Dickson want to express their heartiest thanks for the care and attention shown to them by the Knights of the Order and other Brethren throughout their visit - it left the Deputation with wonderful memories.  In particular they want to thank Brother Arthur Chase and Brother Carl Bethel for organising such wonderful dinners and especially Brother Joe Curry for the generosity of his time and being a good host for the full time they were there.
